Cllr Daniel Fitzhenry
CONSERVATIVE COUNCILLOR FIRST ELECTED IN 2008
Daniel was elected in May 2008, born in Southampton and educated at St Georges School in Swaything, he now runs a family wholesale company in Southampton, when he is not in the council.
Daniel lives in the City Centre with his partner Cara and enjoys sports, traveling and business.
He currently holds the Cabinet Position of Environment and Transport as well as being a councillor for the Harefield ward. He loves the council work he does and believes southampton is great place to live and work.
Cllr Royston Smith
CONSERVATIVE COUNCILLOR FIRST ELECTED IN 2000
Royston is the Leader of Southampton City Council. He oversees the running of the Council and has special responsibility for Economic Development and Regeneration.
First elected to represent the Harefield Ward in the east of the city in 2000, Royston has since held many positions within Southampton City Council and on the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Authority where he is the Chairman.
Royston’s background is rooted in aeronautical engineering; he spent 10 years in the Royal Air Force flying as ground engineer with the Nimrod maritime reconnaissance fleet before taking up a position with British Airways in 1990. Royston lives in the Peartree Ward with his family and spends his free time in the gym or playing tennis.
Having served in the military, worked in the private sector and spent nearly 10 years as the councillor for the Harefield Ward Royston's experience is varied. He is a governor of the Mayfield Academy and the Southampton Solent University. He is also a Director of Business Southampton and sits on both the Southampton port and airport consultative committees.
